Can anyone give me information about the ships used on D-Day?

About LTC, LCV, ... But also about the large ships who carried the heavy stuff? I put a picture on the net:

The <img src="insert link here"> is the tag for web sites - not sure why it's not working here. I tried it on my site and it worked fine.

Nice pic by the way! I know some of the boats on D-Day were called "Ducks". They were made specifically for water and land in that they floated like a boat and had wheels that rolled them up onto shore. These "Ducks" are currently a HUGE attraction where I live and tourists come all the time to ride original WWII Ducks in the river and take land tours. However, I don't see any of them in your pics.

Albert, you have to insert the photo link between [IMG] without forgetting the http://.

And about the ships on D-day. Try June's number of the "National Geographic" nmagazine. There you will find the types of ships and boats used on D-day.

If your ever doing the tourist bit around London, you can pick up a tour, starts on land drives round bit of London then down slipway and then off to the sights arond the Thames....A duck still in use....
