    there are many people that think it should be banned because of what it stands for but some people collect all types of World War Two memorabilia not for what it stands for but for the fact is that it was in the war?

    {any sense made there?}

    I dont think this stuff should be banned. Im no more a nazi than anyone else who collects or has an interest in this stuff.

    You will see that the majority of my posts have to do with German personalities or collecting German stuff. Merely its my interest in these things and I think that the Germans have some of the coolest uniforms--helmets and badges around.

    I also love to collect Imperial German militaria too--these are some of the most beautiful pieces of militaria out there.

    Would it also be right to ban collecting communist items--knowing what they stand for as well? I do not agree with that as well--even as I have no interest in communist items.

    Same thing can be said for collecting militaria from the middle east--I dont collect it but some of those items are nice too.

    No, we need to preserve it for what it stands for. Banning it is in a sense pretending it didn't happen, and that's damn ignorant. I'm not even gonna say anything about the war being important on this forum - preaching to the converted. But besides all of that, just like Mr. Evans says, the stuff is dern cool!!!! I don't really even collect german, but man, best uniforms ever!

    I second and third the motion that the items should not be banned based on keeping the reminder alive of history as a lesson to the next generation.

    My own Nazi lapel pin is stuck next to my computer to remind me each day that from history comes lessons and from lessons can come change.
