I thought you were supposed to get more free time after retirement lol.. I know my job keeps me very busy and a social life on top of it. Sometimes I wish I had more time like when I was a kid but then again I didn't have money and half the fun is being able to buy stuff for your hobbies.

I'll be looking forward to seeing what she is able to get out :)

Ordinance Battalion lapel pin (WWII). Stamped 'MeyerMetal' on reverse of the circle. Bought from the estate of a Technical Sergeant in the 603rd Ordinance Base Arm. Mn. Bn.

P.S. I forgot to click 'Post Reply' on this, oops.

Very cool pieces! the stories just make them that much better. It would have been awesome if you had gotten his papers, I can't believe people throw away that kind of thing buut... I have a similar regret that several years ago my neighbor passed away and his family threw out everything (3 dumpsters worth). I was able to go through one of them and found some good coins and a couple pins, an ashtray, etc but according to my stepdad, the guy was in WWII and his family also threw away all his war stuff. I curse myself for not going through the other two dumpsters.... Anyway, Hawaii bills are quite interesting. I think I might have one around somewhere but I didn't know why they were printed Hawaii, so good to know.

If I may look like a fool, what is the piece from the UK? It look like maybe a plane on wings from the picture but that isn't a standard air force one is it?
