Hello All, I just discovered this forum and signed up today. My Dad was in the Free French and was a sailor on the Rubis submarine. Apparently French TV station BFMTV just aired a documentary on this and posted this photo of the Rubis crew in June 1940. My Dad is in the back row, fourth from the left. He escaped occupied France in 1940 at the tender and rebellious age of 16. Heroic and undeterred! If anyone out there has any knowledge or connection to this slice of history please contact me.
