This never showed up in the news that I watch. Check out the Youtube! Armand Duplantis, at the age of 20 cleared 20'3.3" (6.18m). That's a few 20s. Cleared 20 feet at the age of 20 in 2020. Only 2 other people in history ever cleared 20 feet, Sergey Bubka in 1991 and Renaud Levillenie in 2014. Armand timed it so perfectly that he cleared the height with half a foot to spare and made it look easy. Most vaulters will struggle to clear 19 feet.
.....so eventually, they will reach a limit...? going the fastest speed with relation to pole size = you can't get higher? However speed is the most essential element to higher jumps, because the energy produced by the run {\displaystyle (E_{k}={\frac {1}{2}}mv^{2})} is converted to vertical propulsion {\displaystyle (E_{p}=mgh)}. Assuming no loss of energy {\displaystyle (E_{k}=E_{p})}, this means that {\displaystyle h={\frac {v^{2}}{2g}}}. Pole vault - Wikipedia
