Hello all. First post here. I have always been a ww2 buff. I just soak up what I can find on the subject. I bought this rifle back in the early years of the 80’s. I seen where it was produced in February March of 1942. Is there a way I can see if this was used in combat or any battles or a stateside rifle? Thanks can’t wait to hear what you all say about it so glad I found this sight
Welcome to the forum. I do not believe the DUFF books have that info. I have a 700,000 and a 900,000 serial number range rifles. Rich A. in Pa.
Generally would this early date have a good chance of going over seas vs stateside odds of anyway? I just try to think of what this gun has seen
Unfortunately, calculating odds requires having two numbers. You don't have either a numerator or a denominator. Short of stumbling upon a document that recorded your specific serial number, it's all speculation. You can't think your way into this week's winning lottery numbers, though the temptation is hard to resist.
