I was prepping for sleep but had to log in just to Like Gordon's post. I'm a wee bit younger but from, oh about 1967 to now my influences started in the mid 60's to mid 70's. And ended there ! The Moody Blues, CCR, The Doors - still light my fire !! Plus a lot of others.

Actually we're watching the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at this very moment. I want know what Loves Is !

Not a lot of people know there was a British band called "The Birds" too. When the Yank ones did their first tour over here, the British one tried to sue them for breach of copyright over the name. And lost. Which is why no-one's ever heard of 'em-

Just like Cliff Richard's old backing band "The Shadows" used to be called "The Drifters", until the American ones threatened to sue them too.

When you live through an Era it's mighty hard to accept reenactments.
    Picture this :
It's 1972, you're cruising in your 69' Camero, the most Beautiful girl in the World is sitting beside you, her hand on your right thigh..... uh, oh DAMN YOU ALL.

Yeah, my eldest brother's first car around '68 was an old Austin something from the Fifties. Remember my old man cracking up. His first car was a pre-1960 Morris Traveller lol.

My first car was a 1963 Studebaker Lark. Traded up to a 1962 Ford Galaxy 500: police interceptor. = 390hp, three speed on the column. The 69 Camaro SS/RS only had a 305 after the previous owner threw a rod in the standard 350. Didn't matter, speed is overrated. Looks and being 'Cool' works amazing things.

1970 Boss 429 Mustang, Granny's graduation present to me. My brother picked me up in it after boot camp. I made him move over.
