    Hello all,

I was involved in the invasion of Kursk last year (on the Ukrainian side) and during preparations for one of our assaults we found ourselves at these coordinates 51.35939915326648, 35.12985645837275 in the forest close to the edge. Now in that particular area was a massive trench line, dug very deep, that I could only assume was from the original battle for Kursk. I am hoping that someone could tell me whether it was a German or Soviet trench and maybe even have knowledge of battles in that particular area.

    Thanks in advance

That location is inside the area occupied by the 38th Army of the Red Army. The location would likely be a second or third trench line behind the front prior to the Germans starting their offensive. It would have been in the zone for either the 50th or 51st Corps and part of a rifle division (one of these: 167, 180, 204, 232, 240, or 340) covering that front.
