I love online jigsaw puzzles and especially those posted by the user at the link. It is a picture of 4 aircraft flying over an English village. The subject of the image is a large (bomber maybe?) whose propeller thingy (yes, super technical term there) is on fire.

I'm thinking the smaller ones are probably Spitfires (please correct me if I'm wrong) but what is the large bomber-looking thing? Is it German? I'm guessing it must be, since it looks as if it is being chased by the fighters.

Don't worry, you don't have to solve the puzzle to see the image, but feel free to if it inspires you. It's located here:

    On a Wing & a Prayer

    Thanks to anyone who knows!

    • The story often focuses on the courage of the aircrew, particularly the flight engineers who might have to venture out onto the wing to extinguish fires, as seen in the story of Norman Jackson.Accounts on the 207 squadron association website share stories of Lancaster bombers being shot down, highlighting the risks involved and the bravery of the crews
