Fantastic Four the Rise of the Silver Surfer over the weekend, not bad but not as good as the first. Nice to see Stan Lee as Stan Lee doing his Hitchcock bit.
Bobby, I watched Gran Torino last week Love this film. I also watched Once Upon A Time In The West (1968), a superb film displaying Henry Fonda in the bad guy role... a classic western in my opinion. All the best, Jem
Watched some of Stargate, this morning while watching the snow come down and paint the surfaces white.
Hi Scott, ill post those additional titles as soon as I start feeling better. I cought Andy (aka) ANGE's cold :-(
sorry to hear about the cold! hope you feel better soon! last night the last in the fourth on this group of movies, Flying Leathernecks! great flick! bought it at wal mart for 12 bucks! Back to Bataan Flying Leathernecks Operation Pacific im forgetting the last one......
Hi Scott, thank you sir ;-)) Also got a few goodies coming out of the woodworks-photos that iOne is a great Heston pic as a Galley slave in: Ben Hur, another Jeffrey hunter as a Cav Lt in: Sergeant Rutledge and sean Connery in: The Longest Day.
I wasnt expecting that either but got a great laught from it ;-)) I never could stand that loud-mouth in anything I ever saw him in-and is partly the reason why I have not watched the last installment of the Die Hard franchise. Im assuming hes in that one? I know he was in Nr 3-and found it extremely annoying to hear him run of at the frothing mouth.
Hi Scot and thanks. I think yesterday was the worst of it but im sneezing a lot today-and I usually don't sneeze but one every few weeks or months. Watched: 55 Days At Peking-today on DvD while sitting in a both at Jeffs favorite restaurant ;-))
Just watched one of many of Charlton Hestons classics this afternoon: El Cid. This movie also has Sophia Loren as his Wife and Herbert Lom. This movie IMO, can never be improved on especially with what and whom who runs hollywood these days. Two days ago was the first of two Heston classics I was more than glad to watch again for the umteenth time-55 Days At Peking,
I watched "The Mountain Men" with Charlton Heston and Brian Keith last night. It wasn't that great. Not all the way bad, but I figure that I'd give it an "ok." I guess that I expected too much out of it with two big named stars in it. Probably I was wanting to see something like "The Cheyenne Social Club."
I watched "Young Frankenstein" last week. It was great as usual. Always seems to get better as time goes by.
I just saw the new movie Shutter Island today, lots of twist and turns in the story.. I wasn't all that satisfied with the movie. It could have been better.
Really? I always found TMM to be a top-notch movie. I guess im just more of a Heston/Keith fan ;-)) I always thought this was one of their best moies made. Also, it was the 2nd pairing of Heston and Keith-their first outing was in an excellent Western they made called: Arrowhead. These two movies were among the first several I got on DvD. On the other hand, I never cared much for TCSC-dunno why? it just never "punched my button" I guess? BTW, did you know that Dan Ackroyds Brother: David, was in that movie as Medicine Wolf-one of their Indian friends. Shame he didn't seem to care much for acting as this was one of two things I have seen him in-the other was the Centennial maxi-series. Saw: The Bridge At Remagen, again today. I like that movie more and more with every viewing ;-))
I saw 2012 today.. All I got to say is Holy Jesus, mother of pearl! We better hope and prey that 2012 will be nothing like the movie!!
Hi Suzie, too bad they never made a Y2K movie. My ex-nextdoor neighbor would have totally freaked out watching it as he felt the world was coming to an end then.
