    Reminds me of the old Chic Murray gag;
1st Man: My wife's just gone to Jamaica.
    2nd Man: Jamaica?!
1st: Oh no, it was her idea..... :D ;)

    Or:

    "Why you looking so sad?"
My wife's gone to her mothers'.
    "And that makes you sad?"
No, the fact she's going to come back makes me sad. How about you?
"Well, I've just got a colour TV for my mother-in-law."
Wow, that was a good swap! :D

How true - my wife and I have discussed our ideal country walk....nice views, at least two or three pubs en route, a mixture of fields and woodland, a garden centre, and....'What are those buildings ? ' 'Oh! There's a surprise - the path skirts an old airfield ! [IMG] '

Finally caught last nights' 'Real Dad's Army' with the old AA sites and also 'Paddock' at Dollis Hill. That building is almost within walking distance of my house and I've still never seen it.... [IMG]

Although you may find his pics of his 2002 office Xmas Party more interesting!

Yes, Great programme last night. Would like to have seen more OBs, but still appreciate what they showed.
    Martin,
You're one up on me mate...I thought 'Paddock' had been destroyed! [IMG]

Thanks for that link, Ian - I had no idea that this initiative had happened ! The bunker was part of the 'London Open House' day for one day only about 4 years ago and I missed it then.....

I would think demand might be quite strong - somebody'll be touting tickets on ebay before long!

Just remembered in the nick of time - emailed the Stadium Housing Association and my ticket for the tour of Churchill's underground 'Paddock' HQ has arrived.

OK, not as exciting as FhQ Wolfsschanze, maybe, but I'm looking forward to it ! ;)
