If they could develop laser weapons, that would be extremely successful.
By using robotic scouts they will be able to judge the enemy and terrain.
By using holographic technology they will be able to use diversions to make up for their semi-weak armor.
Some technological advancements will need to be made.
By having multiple components controlled by a central unit, it will allow specific types of units to attack different types of enemy targets.
I read in a science magazine that by bypassing the idea of bulky tanks they will be able to make more manuverable tanks with new capabilites.
The next generation tanks are already being designed.
