Do you mean the 18th Airborne Corps or are you talking about the 18th Airborne "phantom" division?

well im not really sure cuz im just going off of the batch insignia on the inside of my grandpas helmet.... but i heard from another friend of mine that they droped way off coarse of where they should have been and most of them died... but i dont know much about it. If it helps any the patch is white and blue and has what looks to be a dragon with and arrow comming out of its mouth.

That's 18 Airborne Corps. few weeks ago, at the Memorial service at Margraten I sat next to a trooper with that patch. Made a point of asking...

AFAIK Corps is/was just a HQ unit. No combat unit.

I honestly have no idea. I have seen one or two on Ebay and they fetched "a hefty sum", I remember. Not so much 18th Corps, but original helmets with liner and markings. I think one was 101st Airborne, which has particular interest, of course. Try the guys on www.militariacollecting.com theys hould know.
