    Hi everyone...

Newbie here! :) I was hoping someone may be able to help me out. A co-worker sold me this really neat pin (I pick it up tomorrow) and he claims it's like a "sweetheart pin". He stated that this pin was given to wives or girlfriends by their soldier significant other to wear while they were gone to show support. I've searched high and low online and have yet to find anything that looks like this. The plaque has the name "Jesse" engraved and it's obvious the engraving is worn. If this is not a WWII item, the only other thing I could guess it possibly could be is a tie tack (yet it doesn't have the typical loop chain or "T" chain toggle). It LOOKS like a old piece but I want to know if it actually is a WWII related item. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before??

    Thanks for the help!!!!!!
