http://www.military-odyssey.com/ One of the best living history shows of the year in the UK, well worth going to and I advise ANYONE with an interest in WW2, living history, militaria collecting and so on to try to be there if at all possible. The market is huge, there are hundreds of displays, it is an all round excellent event. If you do come, keep an eye open on the Red Army displays and ask for me, I will be there with the 2nd Guards.
Lets get up a few images from Detling: You see what happens when you fall asleep on the display: Brewed to be drunk cold, lets keep it that way: The second guards display: Fraternising with the enemy: Paul is right, the beer tent is surreal: Useful kit photo:
Just to bump this up, a couple more photographs from Detling: You have to have a sniper these days. This was on the side of our stand, which was a low sandbag wall with our weapons and kit on display. A group of us were invited to have a formal, posed photograph taken and this is the result.
