Last Monday completed 74 years the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, one of the most painful days of American History. I share with you here a link that brings a collection of dramatic photos, many of them rare, showing the devastation caused by the attack on the airfields of the island. Visit the link below and answer the title question.

Some images are quite well known, but I confess some I have never seen before.

Amazing photos thank you for posting.

As to your question which no one seems to want to address. Of course we should remember, not only for those killed and injured but also as only by remembering the past can we hope to learn for the future.

Brian: do not waste your time. He only posts to mine for hits on his website and I can assure you that he could care less about having his questions answered or starting a discussion.

    Brian, listen to George.

Look at the creation date for the webpage he linked to January, 2011.

Pampa only post links to his website pages, and never ever...under any circumstances...is looking for discussion or participation.

He mines this forum and several others for suckers to visit his webpage...On AHF he has, at least, 4 aliases that he posts under.

All you are is just a +1 to his hit counter.

Seen them all, a few are not from December 7, 1941. Some are Japanese propaganda photos(think photoshopped), one or two are stills from Japanese propaganda movies, but most are authentic.

    For example, this one
    [IMG]
Is of American B-18s flying in formation over Diamond Head on April 6, 1940.

Are you saying that our friend is not the most historically accurate blogger/image enthusist/fledgling copyright infringement artist? I'm shocked.....

    Who moi?

I try and use the Internet Archives "Wayback Machine" to view any of his sites. Don't think that adds to his internet traffic. But, for this one, I had to use Google's cached snapshot.

Thanks for the heads up, already encountered a couple of deadbeats with no life beyond a key board and a vacuum where their brains should be - I'll put this down to experience. Cheers Brian

You see, at first he tried giving us the full technical detail up front

For example one of his post from back in April, 2014

    http://www.ww2f.com/topic/52746-p-61-black-widow-ramjet-tests/

When that apparently failed to generate any traffic, he must have decided it was better to "play stupid" to try and generate traffic to his website. Because in July, 2015, he posted this

    http://www.ww2f.com/topic/56134-p-61-black-widow-with-missile/#entry622719

Two separate posts, a year apart...One smart, one stupid...But both link to the same webpage.

Yes pampa drops in every now and then and posts a link to his site. He's a bit more mercenary than most members, but he's asked me directly for permission to post links to his site and I am fine with him doing so.

We have a few members who spend a lot of energy arguing about climate change, Donald Trump, or Human Catastrophes. While those discussions are always relevant, I also appreciate those who add WW2 content to the web, even if it is their own site. Please make your own choices, but I visit his site every time he posts a link, it doesn't cost me anything and there are usually images I haven't seen before.

I too usually click on them to see if there is something new to me, and sometimes they do stimulate a conversation, especially for new members or those new to that subject matter.
