    I have a question/translation needed.

My grandfather was a RAF bombadier in a Lancaster Flying Fortress. He must have picked up this box i have that contains, what i think, looks like a helmet badge. It is German as there is writing on the top that reads -
Frontflugspange fur Ka - - filieger gold

Between the Ka - - filieger the writing has dispeared. any ideas of what it reads?

Thanks - thats problary what it means, or close to it. The only difference of the clip/badge/whatever is that its the whole body of an eagle (or some other bird) with wings stretched out like those on the German hat badges etc.

Do you have an image of the item?

Have you checked the militaria section on my site at http://www.skalman.nu/third-reich/ ?
Prehaps you can find a similar badge there.

No..i dont actually. I guess i could take a picture of it, and once it gets developed, i could try and find somewhere where i can scan it onto the comp to send. Hm...would a library have a scanner on the comp?
