Anyone can supply information about which(and how many) propeller-driven aircraft were used during the Korean War?

F-51 Mustang by the time of the Korean War, and the Twin Mustang was the F-82. The Twin Mustang also bore the brunt of the action in the first few weeks of the war. They flew a large number of ground attack missions and even downed a few North Korean fighters.

Did they use the Texan as a strafer in Korea? I thought they only the Aussies used it like that during WWII.

The Bearcat was in active service until 1953 but I thought they never saw any combat with the US Navy?

The Grumman AF Guardian was used in the Korean War, so was the Avenger. The Supermarine Sea Otter was used on board Royal Navy ships deployed to Korea.

The Bearcats saw limited use in the early part of the war.

Why were they using trainers in combat. Doesn't really make sense to use a Harvard (Texan) like that.....

I think the North Korean air force only had Texans in very the beginning of the war and used them as well for ground attack purposes. Can anyone verify this?

No texans were only used by US.

North Korean AF had quite a few types of planes on its rooster at the beggining.
    Fighters:
    Yak-9
    La-7
    La-9
    La-11
    Bombers:
    Tu-2
    Il-10
Yak-18 (basicly trainer but used to great effect as nuasance bomber)
    Po-2 (U-2) Nuasance bomber

Those are the types i remember from top of my head. For detail lists i can only say Google is your friend :D

Did you mean South Korean AF? If so, I think you're right.
