Im glad to see that, Airfix was the foundation of my entry into modeling, in grade school me and my friends would build massive 1/72 armies, using mainly airfix soldiers and tank models, what fond memories of going to the department store as a child and spending about 3 dollars and coming home with a box of 50 soldiers and a coupe of tank models...

Mind you - £2.6 million seems not much for Airfix and Humbrol - had I won Euro Millions I may have bought it myself.

Just thought I should point out that this applies to Humbrol paints too.

Then I'm twice as thankful cause humbrol paints are my pride and saviour!

I always thought airfix models were somewhat below average quality.

For a while I had to buy Revell paints, as my local model shops started to run out of Humbrol. Urgh, they are awful! All thick & gungy :x
