From the pictures and the posts that you may have read you may probably be able to guess that I am an anime fanatic. In the photo gallery I did post some pictures of myself and some friends that we took while attending a convention. I am wondering if we have any more anime fanatics on this board! My kids tend to be rather fond of it but I'd hardly call them fanatics. I've enjoyed some of it as well but again am hardly a fanatic. I think there's a thread on "Tank Girls" somewhere on the board and it's come up a few times previously.
The whole family attends Penguicon on a regular bases but it's a rather shitsophrenic convention being part Lynux, part anime, part sf, and part gaming with some other elements thrown in as well. See: http://www.penguicon.org/ There's also one that I can't remember the name of that the girls have been to about half of. Started in one of the northern suburbs but has moved down into the RenCen. Then there are several more SF cons (Confusion, Contraption, Conclave, etc) in the area that we hit occaisionally that have a significant anime presence although that varies from year to year.
