For those interested in things flying, including the BoB Memorial Flight, Farnborough International Airshow kicks off in a week or so, 17th to 23rd. Buyers get in first and lookers on the weekend. Deep pockets required as an advance ticket is £22 sobs and more on the day. On the menu

The Red Arrows have already been prating about, and Mrs 9 called me today to moan about all the noisy big things roaring about above disturbing her day off  .

Have to keep an eye on her till it’s over as she had a great great uncle who got killed at the Little Big Horn! ;)

”Dress up as a rich Arab”

Hmm…….maybe I could go as Sheik Ya’money, or Sheik Rattlandroll? :D

Re have the Indians taken over Farnborough, no they haven’t - yet. I just don’t want her to go marching over to complain about the noise – like her great great uncle did when he was out fishing in 1876. ;) :D

LOL! Biggest laugh I had in weeks!!!! I can imagine; "Hey chaps, could you turn it down a chat. You scare the bass away!" Lake little Big Horn was always known for its tranquil setting...

Could you also imagine the prospect of a 5 foot 2 kilt-nasty standing on the runway trying to swat a Tornado GR4 with a rolled umbrella  .

Boy talk about something getting lost in translation
I was thinking your wife's uncle was at Little Big Horn in North Dakota when General Custer got wiped out by the American Indians ! That is why I did not understand the last part of your first post. [IMG]

 You are right TA. He was at Little Big Horn, but not with Custer. He was fishing in the river and when over to complain about the noise. ;)
