My mum sold all my lego a few years ago.

I have tried to re-start but it's so expensive now and not as good as the old style bricks. To many speciallised bricks which have little duel purpose.

I have some star wars stuff including the collectors X Wing though.

What I really want though is this.

The Star Wars collection is great, however it´s quite expensive with EUR 329.99 for a "Todesstern".

Star Wars Lego is the only "constructive" and cool Lego that remains. It's all gone to waste on spoiled kids who like prefab toys and 3-D faces on their playing figures. I used to love everything Lego stood for, but with this new style of kits I completely lost interest.

And to think of all my old Lego bricks, every single one having been a part of hundreds, thousands of vehicles and constructions...

The lego R.E.S. Q Series was great. The RES-Q Cruiser is my only Lego model that survived completely, the rest is in two big boxes with thousends parts.

The RES-Q series was the finest, I hope to get the helicopter by ebay.

I don't want to brag but I used to make better looking helicopters myself... Obviously I don't have any pics of them, and they didn't have these nice colours. ;)
That hovercraft looks pretty awesome though, I can still remember wanting to have it. :D

Roel is right , Lego has become very expensive , The only times I got lego in the past few years is only on Christmas when I got a small lego set like a star wars speeder , or that laser satellite from the battle of hoth in the empire strikes back. I had to save all the money I recieved one year(birthday money, christmas money, etc) just to buy a snow speeder.

I like Legos too. They were great for making buildings to put army men in.

Those heavy turbolaser batteries are a little on the impotent side.

Lego was fantastic! I still have tubs & tubs of the stuff. I once built a huge Lego military base covering the floor of my livingroom, complete with pillboxes, barracks, even a nuclear missile silo...
But a girl my mum was babysitting subjected it to a nuclear war...

Modern Lego is rubbish. As has been said - to much specialization of the pieces.

    That's oldskool, FNG! Nice stuff!

Ricky: seriously, how much Lego did you have. I thought I had a lot, but small military bases were really the limit if I wanted to keep some actual kits intact (like my big-ass threemaster pirate ship). I believe the best-looking thing me and my brother ever built was a destroyer, complete with bridge, radar, sleeping quarters, deck guns and an emergency raft. :D

My Lego is a mixture of kits (Space Lego, Pirate Lego, Urban Lego & Medieval Lego mostly), and loads of random oddments that my parents picked up second hand (including the real old lego, with the huge people).
It is now stored in categories (car stuff, blocks, roofing stuff, people, etc) and fills approx 7 x 2-litre ice cream tubs.

My sister & I are in dispute over whose kids will get it!
(no kids for either of us yet)

Actually I enjoy doing the Mega Blocks Sets , they have sets where you can build subs, apaches, tanks, naval vessels , it's great fun I had a tank with tracks and everything. I also love little toy soldiers , I must have a battalion of them at the least and a full blown regiment at the most complete with some tanks , choopers , Apc's , supply trucks , artillery , sandbags , and the soldiers consist of rifleman , bazookamen , snipers , mortar men , sappers , officers , the works.

Lego says for ages 16 and under but I bet a quarter of the people still buying them are people in their 20's and 30's.

Also does anyone remember the Army men Sarges Heroes games for the N-64 , playstations 1 and 2 ?
