Anyone interested in a cheap K98 Bayo?

Hi Guys,

If there is a forum rule that prohibits this please delete me, I just saw a bargain and wanted to share it with you.

The seller of the bayonet I got before in my previous thread titled "Got my k98 Bayonet now what?" is offering 2 more ... at £20 and £22 respectively, I was going to purchase these at first but realised that if I did, my marriage will be severly compromised

I thought I'd share it with you guys,
this one is £20 with the black bakerlite wartime dated but the serials don't match.



This one is £22 with the wood grip, wartime dated again the serial does not match the scabbard but it comes with a frog.

Thanks for the information. At those prices they should be snapped up! Especially the second one, frog and all. (I already have two bayonets, one like the second picture and the other is ex- Imperial German with quillon, reground by the Turkish army to fit the WWII type scabbard). The one with the bakelite grips looks like it has seen a lot of use (v. uneven cutting edge) but for £20 is still a good buy.

 

interestingly enough, I've seen bayos go for slightly higher price but for greatly improved quality...IMO, I think its a bit over priced for what you're getting, then again I got a "perfect" one for exactly the same price from the same guy
