Australian War Experience (Part 2 of 4) Australian Army at War Television Series.

Part 1 is of WW1 if that is of interest to you.
Part 3 is of Austrailina Airman. The RAAF in WW2.
Part 4 is of Australian Seaman at War in WW2.

    Enjoy!

"This is an authentic record of Australian soldiers' participation in the Second World War, drawing on actual newsreel footage depicting the hardship these men experienced in Europe, the Middle East and, closer to home, in Singapore, New Guinea and Borneo."

And I have been amazed by the two raids on merchant ships in Singapore, Operation Jaywick and Operation Rimau. The former was very successful whereas the second raid eventually led to the death of all raiders.

The films about these two raids are 'The Heroes' from 1988 and 'Heroes, The Return' from 1990 respectively.
