Does anyone here from the uk watch Bad Lads army on itv1?

for those new to this, Bad Lads army is a english tv show which basically involves 20 something drug addicts, criminals and anti social individuals on a camp, and 4 weeks of 1950's army life!

    Sure do-it's brilliant!
Been watching it over the last couple of series, and keep wondering how many social workers & do-gooders have had heart attacks at all the 'brutality'! [IMG]
My old man ( a WW2 veteran & '50s TA sergeant) loves it-reminds him of the good old days. Amazing how the 'old' methods always seem to work on all but the hard-core losers, eh? ;)

Nothing more exciting than being punished for breaking military discipline TA. I suppose being told to do 200 push-ups for having a button undone on parade is the modern equivalent, but that's tame by 1950s British Army standards!
Half the things the NCOs do on this programme are actually illegal in the modern army, and they're all genuine ex-army NCOs.

The Provost Sergeant? He should get a series all to himself. I always get the impression he's reliving his own basic training by dishing out what he had to put up with! :D ;)

Thanks for the information. Maybe the show will make it over here someday soon. I love watching the old "Are you being Served" shows. Really excellent show !

AYBS was a brilliant show in it's day, TA! Still funny now.
This is actually the third series of Bad Lad's Army, but this time it's called 'Officer's Class', and they're trying to turn these torags into Officer's and Gentlemen! :D Don't know if it would make it across the pond without someone complaining about 'human rights abuses', but you never know. Nice link, Wild, but can't download it myself through lack of space.

Thanks Gordon. I am going to send an e-mail with that link to my satilite provider and see if they bite.
They show a number of British shows over here such as Bennie Hill, To the Manor Born, Waiting for God, The Good Life, and the one with the woman I would love to strangle and her brother in law Onslow. ( I like him, just forgot the name of the show )
