    What a d***head!
I thought it was now illegal in the UK to tattoo above shoulder-height?
Anyway, never saw the point of tattoos-look damned silly on anyone over 21 IMHO

I didn't know about that Gordan.

Apart from anything though, why shouldn't he look like a holigan, he is one! A rich one, but a holigan none the less.

Now now, I have 2...and that doesn't mean I'm a hooligan. And I'm now a tatto artist as well. But I'll tell you this...I HATE TATTOOS ON THE NECKS!!! It just doesn't work for me.

I just wonder why did he do it? Anyone read it somewhere? To inspire the team or himself?

I'll admit, tattoos are adictive, but I hope that people think them through a little more than what Beckham has. I can understand his childrens names (alot of people get that)...but the neck tattoo, meh, not so much. Ah well, it's there now, not much we can do about it.

I think we should amputate it ;)

The problem with Beckham is that he represents everything that is wrong with Britain, the kind of idiotic chavism/townieism , the anti-intellectualism, the cult of celebrity, it is all vile and should be stamped out.

Yes, it is not clear exactly where you stand on the beckham issue, Stefan...

I must say, that I only know him as a good football player, who has a wife who likes nice clothes and who has him, as it comes across to me, somewhat p#$$&-whipped....but I could be wrong.

Don't think it is fair to make him the example of everything that is wrong with England. C'mon, Stefan, live and let live... ;)

Seriously, he is an under educated nitwit, he is the king of towniedom (for more information on the townie phenomanon visit www.chavscum.com) and I honestly think townies are the biggest threat to Britain that has ever existed! They are anti-intellectual, anti-culture and ignorant in the extreme. They symbolise instant gratification, the cult of celebrity and the notion that being on TV for 15 minutes is a worthwhile ambition.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Beckham, he is a tallented sportsman and is lucky that he lives in society that values his talents above certain that benefit society more. What I object to is that which he embodies to the millions of people around the country and the fact that he makes no effort to use his influence for lasting good. How about instead of poncing around telling kids that the way to succeed is to get really good at football and become a star (which most can not) and giving them some realistic aims, like maybe being a valuable member of society.

And it was the grass, the team had complained about that penalty spot since training there a day before, I actually feel rather sorry for him and hope no one will hold it against him or the guy who missed the last penalty (after all, it was as much Beckhams fault as his, though personally I blame the ref, who said the Swiss were neutral?)
