Hi all; Interesting. My brother Craig was a Civil War Reenactor back in the 90's-and you can spot him in a few places in the "Gettysburg" film. At any rate he was saying that the filmmakers used the advice of these reenactors a lot as they have a lot of practical experience going "hands on" with these old weapons and tactics. "Band of Brothers" used the actual vets to "keep it real" but this is not always possible (my favorotie WWII vet is pushing 90). Future WWII movies could possibly use these reenactors for technical advise-after all a fellow with real experience of handling a PPSH or Schmeisser might have something to say about how it is done. Spike Lee's recent effort could have used some "Real world input" by everything I have been hearing. These people also do Western Front reenactments-and they seem to have really done their homework. Something that might be a fun hobby if I wasn't 57. Battle for Bryansk Forests - Ostfront WW2 film-sim airsoft battle JeffinMNUSA
Aye WWII airsoft is becoming more and more popular over here. Not sure why you'd let your age put you off, you could claim high brass status surely?
No-these guys look like they do a lot of jumping around in the weeds. I am in pretty good shape but Can't take unnessesary risks of injury at this stage. JeffINMNUSA
Fair enough, although I've found the airsoft mob quite understanding, and many players basically walking around the woods having the odd shot, add barking "Do your tunic up man!" and you're there. ;-)
