Cabinet of shame found

    Hidden archive exposes WWII slaughters - CNN.com


    I found a good article today on CNN. There has been a chest of evidence found of war crimes committed by the Nazis on the Italian people during the German retreat up the Italian peninsula. The evidence was apparently hidden away and forgot about or reasons unknown. Perhaps Cold War events dictated that these crimes were not pursued? It is worth a read..

    Hm,these crimes were pursued,even today.

    According to the article all of the criminals had died except one by the time this information came to light. No doubt war criminals from WWII are still pursued to this day. However, this particular Italian massacre has not had the attention of the world until now. From what I understand from the article anyhow..

    I think you are correct here FT, this is new stuff not taken into account in past trials. Others have been known of, or suspected as having happened, but this new file may put to rest what have been unsubstantiated in the past.
