Due to the recent inflated and totally useless postings on the ww2General forums at the top of this site--by a "Self-edited" I seek help in volunteers to "bump" up at least 5 topics each--that you feel need to be "bumped" past those "twos" foolish postings so that we all may benefit from all the good topics while in the meantime--pushing the useless stuff behind us where it belongs.

Im not looking for more than someone just bumping up good topics--unless you actually do want to comment on a topic you choose. If that is the case--I would like at least 5 just "bumped" up.

I dont want to "bump" all of them up--just to inflate my postings--so this is why im asking for you guys to "bump" up at least 5 topics each--just as long as none of them were started by: someone with a hidden agenda.

Please let me know if you are interested in doing so by posting a reply here and then "bumping" the posts--OR--just go ahead and "bump" up at least 5 of your choosing.

I don't think Otto or Peppy or anyone elso for that matter--will mind you doing so especially since you will be doing the forums a major favor. [IMG]

Maybe I missed something but 'hassan' simply seemed to be poor in English and computer skills and was attempting to ask some very valid questions, I think we may have jumped the gun on this one or did he post something that I missed?

    Panzerknacker,

Hasan posted about 50+ short one-line questions/comments mostly in the wrong forums, simply in order to get the 100+ post mark so he could get an avatar. He also signed on under a second user-name, and was replying to his own posts. This kind of activity is garbage.

I deleted his profiles, but I did not ban his access to the Forums. If hasan wants, he can join up again, start over and this time not be such a post-whore.

The rules are clearly listed on the site, and he should have known better.

Carl, go ahead and bump the threads you feel should be up top, but my thought on this is that hasan's posts will make their way down on their own eventually.

Why does one need 100 posts to have an avatar? I'm quite sure I didn't need to.

    Best regards/ Daniel

    Thank you Duce---Otto. [IMG]

Hi Daniel: I was a few postings past 100 when I got mine. Exactly how many postings--I dunno. [IMG]

A suggestion meant in a kindly way. If it offends you, please just ignore me and it. Thanks.

Please don't "bump" any threads, unless it fills a deep-seated inner need. Bumps, 'blatently useless message postings', only make it difficult for the serious user to find the intelligence in a thread.

When I've something new or interesting to share, I don't mind looking back through two - or even three - screens to try to find the right thread into which to drop my thought.

I like Otto's term, Post-Whore, and I do mind flipping past two or three screens just to get to the real information. [IMG]

But it is like Otto said: in a few days they will be gone anyway, so why polute te forums even more with needless Bumps?

Then we stoop to his level....And you have to admire the dude's tenacity; obviously he is interested in ww2 and has some knowledge about it. Besides he was so excited to be able to choose an avatar (after 100 posts) that he spent the best part of a few days posting to be able to get one!

I agree with Military History Network Network on this one.

Shame thar Hassan behaved in a foolish and immature fashion - some of his threads merited interesting dicussion but now, if I see his username, I 'skip' the thread.....

No! No! this "threat" should be "contained"! Economic sanctions! His posts are already taken away from him! Our "Forums Security Council" were very swift!

Well, or at least we should think of a strategy of appeasement! I propose we sent Otto to Pakistan and expect him to return waving a piece of paper... [IMG] ;)

    Trivia update...

The actual spot where the 'piece of paper' was waved is now a corner of the car park at Heston Service Area on the M4 motorway....

OK, OK, I'll shut up ! ;) [IMG]
