In Paul Carell's book "The Foxes of the desert" there's a undated report of an Allied ship washing ashore near Bardia where it was found by members of the German 33rd Reconnaissance Unit. Apparently abandoned after her bow was blown off. Can't find anything by that name who's loss matches the area.
Interesting. The only ship by that name was an Icelandic ship sunk by U-564 in June 1941. It was sunk in the North Atlantic, so I don't see how it could have wound up in Bardia. http://uboat.net/allies/merchants/1020.html
"Carrel" is not exactly the most reliable of sources. Most attempts I made ro cross check what he writes with other sources ended in blanks, though I never tried to follow up on this specific one.
