A castle was transformed into a bustling Second World War camp for a weekend of displays, re-enactments and family activities. Authentic vehicles, weapons and costumes helped to recreate the atmosphere of wartime Britain as hundreds of military enthusiasts gathered at Castle Drogo in Devon. Highlights included re-enactments from the Military Vehicle Trust and a family trail that invited visitors to find out what life was like for an evacuee.
