nice site with numerous links to choose from,but for pure nostalgia,click on songs,sound effects,some are in zip files,but no need to worry,as mostly the effects are playable with windows media,the speeches and ww2 movie snippets,very good to listen to the effects,air raid,trains,doodlebug,siren,and the songs pure reminiscence...lovely..

Talking of the Blitz...Here's a photo of two old Anderson shelters being used as garden sheds near where I live.

When used as air raid shelters these would be almost completely dug in to the ground.

 

many sounds at the 2nd link doesnt work :S.

 

all weapons effects work for me,what is missing?

 

thanks kai.ah! the good old anderson shelter,spent many a day,hours,playing in grandads shelter.sitting on the roof and nan saying "you;ll get piles if you sit on that hot roof! ha! ha! good old nan, lovely lady,long gone, but fond memories for sure...
