Thought I'd flag up this TV series about three welsh families who are living a WW2 life-style in a mining village. Normally I find these programs really annoying but this one is actually very good. The families are working well together, they take the whole thing in their stride and looking after each other, its very entertaining and fascinating particularly the men who are working down a mine as my grandfather did. I'm really enjoying it.

It is available on BBC Wales or here:

Great stuff, glad to see the BBC producing a good program.

I enjoyed the "1900 House" series, particularly that the family was British and kept a stiff upper lip throughout most of the experience. Since then, I've seen multiple incarnations of this concept-some good, some really bad.

Looks like it's worth a peek.
