Hey, I'm a newbie (obviously) Just coming in to say hello to all you guys here. I'm a bit young (17) and most people think me weird because I love this subject so much. I love to talk about anything WWII really (it is such a interesting subject and also a very neglected one in our schools (IMO)). especially the air war and the pacific, I also really like the eastern front (I think the pacific and eastern front are very neglected fronts in "pop culture"). I'm just here to talk to people who are interested in the same things as I and I want to advance my knowledge. everyone can call me Brett if you like. but that is up to you. Well, greetings from Minnesota USA! EDIT: 1. Your Name: Whats your name? What would you like to be called? How did you come up with your member-name? Answerd 2. Age: How old are you? How long have you been interested in WWII? I've been interested since I was pretty young 7 or 8 3. Origins: Where are you from? Answerd 4. Specifics: What areas of WWII are you interested in? What would you like to know more about? Everything 5. Hobbies: What sort of Hobbies do you have? Are any related to World War II? Wargaming? Video-games? Memorabilia? Visiting historic sites? I fly lots of flight sims, notably CFS2 and 3 6. Other: What other time periods are you interested in? Specific eras? Why? The cold war in general and I also think the Korean war is very interesting. it was really a transition period 7. Miscellaneous: Anything else you'd like to share with us? not really. Hello Hellcat and welcome to this fine place! You'll find that most of us have a passion for the study of WWII so you should find a lot of good conversations. Jump right into the threads! Cheers!
Welcome, I like to fly sims as well. I like the lastest jets. Can you tell me the name of a good game for the computer? I'm still using US Navy Fighters.
Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 and 3 are both great WWII Sims. if you want modern stuff check out Lock on Modern Combat and Wings over Vietnam
G'day matey, I was the same floating day to day talking about ww2 with various people but was never able to really have a good conversation that was not one sided and only seen from the allies side of things. Then I found this forum and I was blown away, sometimes my fiancee needs to be at me with a crowbar to pry me away.
