    The Catalina was always one of my favorite war birds. My wife's uncle flew one during the war in the Southwest Pacific. Always enjoyed his stories, no matter how many times I had heard them.

    long flights in those over a lot of water.....they had auto pilots, right?

    The PBY did have a Sperry A3 autopilot
