Here's something I just came across. If this has been posted before (the story is a year and a half old), feel free to delete it. "Couldn't they have just taken the path? Apparently not. The Cingino dam in the Italian Alps has attracted a herd of death-defying goats who seem happy to flirt with a 160ft drop. These incredible pictures show Alpine Ibex goats wandering across the face of the near-vertical dam in Northern Italy without a care in the world." Nice! Read somewhere that some of those mountain goats can stand, in windy mountain environments, on an outcropping that's no bigger than a dime.
Yep..No fear. I just took some pics of Mntn goats at Prince of Wales Hotel Waterton. ..Then coming out of the hotel parking lot, a brown bear with her black cub...Didn't take pic of that as it was scary situation. Rangers were working to steer 'em out of town, else have to shoot 'em.
They must be really hungry up there...willing to reach the high mountain meadows they expect after crossing difficult "nature trails", as they venture forth looking for greener pastures.(trying to apply my best Darwinist interpretation)
Goats....Apparently there are 'Fainting Goats' that fall down unconscious when loud noises or something else scares them. Legends tell of a Greek shepard that took aim with an ancient blunderbuss at an entire herd of these goats, pulled the trigger, and was gratified to see the entire herd fall over simultaniously! Reminds me of those early American westerns featuring pioneer women closing their eyes and aiming shot-guns over their shoulder. After pulling the trigger, five indians fall, all stone dead. Great shots, those pioneers! Where is Urqhy to tell us more about this? He's our resident Goat expert, after all.... Urqh? Ya'all there?
Goats....They are taking the litteral...They are in fact US special forces on exercise...You can tell by the way they have charged up as individuals rather than a team...If they were British they would of course be in a straight line...French..they would be well maybe not in the picture..but thats another matter...We can confirm this by looking closer at the attached Pic of Welsh sheep...ahhhh...but are they....Brecon Beacons...SAS conversion course 1.3 1976....February....Privates Lincoln and corporal Stinger on insertion and evasion exercise....Unfortunately private Lincoln never beat the Hereford clock..as in later years he was attacked by an Iriaqi sergeant whilst undercover on a sniping location mission in 92...A sad demise to a fine soldier...Goats...your taking the p... Special forces have dressed up as sheep and goats since Nelsons day....We all know sailors like sheep.
