    6th June 1942

Under non-stop attacks by the Luftwaffe (from the 2nd June up to the capture of the last French positions on the 11th, the Luftwaffe flew 1300 sorties against Bir Hacheim) the French positions were attacked in the north by mixed assault groups drawn from various formations, and in the south by the 90th Light Division. Attack after attack came to a halt in the excellent British defence system...

Great DAK gunners. I love the details with the awards and the background is realistic too.
It was quite a hell of canon shells and plane attacks. Note that the French survivors , despite being surrounded recieived orders to join the British lines and against all odds managed to do so by breaking through German lines during the night of June 11th-june 12th . They were awarded a citation by the British High Command for this on June 14th 1942. (Source : Du Tchad au Danube. Editions GP 1948)
I have quite a few pictures of the battle if you need more inspiration for your models.

I'm getting this info from reading "the Rommel papers", edited by B.H. Liddell Hart.

Yes, I'd like to see any photos you have of this action, thanks Skipper!
