    Gang,

Wondering if anyone out there might be able to help me find information on Captain Ernesto Brambilla, 205 Squadriglia, Regia Aeronautica, who was shot down sometime around June of '43 by the Brits while flying a Savoia Merchetti SM79.

Captain Brambilla was a previously highly decorated aviator, and perhaps flew fighters at the outset of the war.

I am looking for this information for a close personal friend of mine who is Captain Brambilla's grandson, and who flies in the Italian Navy (a fellow Harrier bubba).

Any aid you guys could throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

So far this is all I've found:
