Jack flew with my wifes uncle, he was lucky enough to bail out of the fated a/c lw166 on the night of 4/5 july 44 when my wifes uncle sgt steel and the pilot f/o moss both died. Jack eventually made it back to the UK having been liberated by the US from Fretval. we've been lucky enough to make contact with sgt j finnie, also on the a/c that night, we've had several fascinating phone calls with him, but any info regards Jack Bester is hard to come by. F/O siddall is even more of a quandry. he also evaded capture that night but i have nothing other than his escape/evader report given on his return to the UK. If anyone knows if either of these two are still alive id love to know, failing that any info on these two gents would be much appreciated.

    regards

    paul
