My grandfather fought in Northern France, Normandy, Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland with the 4th Cavalry Group. Does anybody know what German units fought in these areas. Through reading the history of his unit, I know one German Generalfieldmarshall's name comes up at that is Gerad Von Rundstedt. I was able to piece together what American units were their or they did recon for, but it is the german units that I am interested in knowing. Thanks for any help.
