GI uniform and equipment, Italy Jan-March 1944?

    Does anyone have any photos, colour plates or similar depicting GI uniforms and equipment used in Italy during the first three months of 1944?

    They would be basically the same as the uniforms and gear used in the Normandy invasion.

    But that was summer. Wouldn't they be using winter gear in Jan/Feb/March?

    Skua, if you find any pictures of GIs wearing cold weather gear, during that time of the year, it'll be the same. Actually, a lot of them wore the same material in Korea, but that's a different thread.
