Fellow rogues, For christmas this year I visited Lake Delevin, Wisconsin, for a family gathering at New Year's. While there, my mom and cousins visited an antique store and bought me this. It's my first legit WWII medal The Good Conduct Medal was instituted in 1869 and has been awarded to all branches of the US armed forces since except for the Air Force. To recieve it requires "Exemplary behavior, Efficiency, and Fidelity in the United States Armed Services." Here it is (and yes I know my hand is in the photos):
Good addition to any collection. I don't know why but-everytime I see one of these-it reminds me of the Austrian? King Karl Troop Cross. I used to have one but gave it to a friend who could appreciate it more than I did.
