Why am I not surprised...... Adolf Hitler was a German football coach, say one in 20 children - Telegraph
The german abbreviation WK (welt krieg = World war) is the same as for world championship ..ergo there was a 1st and 2nd world-championship .. goal !!! (Tor!) View attachment 9070 ehh in the '39 game Germany won 1-0 , no penalties View attachment 9071
I would be more interested in the release of the selections based on age group. At 9 years old what I knew about WW2 was based almost soley on Hogan's Hero's. By 15 school work had flushed out the crap. When dealing with children those six years are a bigger diffrence than it would be for people over 25. 2000 people is also a very small base. I'm also afraid of a slight amount of tampering. 6.39% of people replied Red Socks, when asked who's side did the US enter WW2 on? This can't possably be a realistic answer. What took the cake was the Attack on Pearl Harbor doesn't have a correct answer to select. So of course the survey tells you people think Pearl was a Kamakazee attack, because it was the closest to the actual answer of surprise air raid.
The reason for my comment is that all my three children are born in Sweden and went to school there, and the WWII was hardly mentioned at all during their lessons in history. One day my son told me that Adolf Hitler and Karl XII had fought against each other. Karl XII was king of Sweden 1697-1718 and he was killed by a Norwegian sniper on November 17th 1718 during his campaign in Norway. (Rumors says that it was the swedes themselves that shot him. The remains are now exhumed for an thorough investigation to find out what happened.) I was rather chocked at the moment, but I gave my son an extensive introduction in WWII after that.
