I ran across this forum and decided to join in hopes of finding some knowledgeable sources to answer questions on WWII topics. I have a general interest in most all history topics - generally, history of Western civilization (and mainly those concerning America's history).

Thanks for the welcome guys (& gals)!

The Historian - (from Stirling): Happy 700 year battle anniversary (even though I'm a couple of days late...probably "happy" isn't exactly the correct word to wish). Will Scotland become independent in September (isn't that when the vote is)?

Miss 4jonboy - I've traveled in England a fair amount but mostly southern England; however I did make it up to York one time and I've got friends just southwest of you (in Mexbourgh).

Don't have any connections to the Land of 10,000 Lakes (I'm a "Suthern boy" afterall) :flag_BonnieBlue: but I do with Sweet Home Alabama - mostly the CMP in Anniston. :sniper1:

And as Slipdigit knows, I've already posted my first question concerning Morning Reports in the "WWII General" section of this fourm - and Slipdigit, I did post an example you asked for.

Again, thanks for the warm welcome (even from those above the Mason-Dixon!)
