Hello to all; a quick note to say hello i've been looking around for a day or two and i am hoping this will result in concrete info for some of the Documentaries and Feature Film projects i am working on. These Scripts revolve around the Australians who flew with Bomber Command with particular interest in 617 & 464 Sqdns. Of particular interest is the establisment of a dialogue with "Martin Bull" Cheers all.
G/day been reading a few of your posts and i think you may of even replied to a couple of mine anyhoo cheers for the greeting and look forward to future dialogue. On a similar note to my original post in this thread two other lines of inquiry i am persuing are: 1. Directions to look on information about the HMAS Perth sunk near Timor by enemy fire whilst in support of USS Houston. 2.More information on or contact details/ introductions to veterans of the battle of Long Tan. Aug 18 1966. I know this is outside the realms of this forum and only mention it due to our location. That and i've been working on the script for nearly six years off and on and have still not lost faith in the project nor determination to tell this story without a holywood formula. Something that another member of the Australian film industry is currently doing. Anyway i digress. Cheers and I'll be chatt'n with ya. To all the others who greeted me thank you. I'm sure i'll be conversing with you all soon as from what ive seen this is a veritable library of Persopolis.
I cant help you with the veterans you are looking for, but I can help you with the HMAS Perth. http://www.navy.gov.au/HMAS_Perth_(I) HMAS Perth Hope these help
Cheers for that anything along that line i've only just begun to expand my knowledge of this event. As for the ex 6RAR lads thats ok i have a lot and have spoken to many {My old Seco in 9bnRQR } was in 12 Pl DCoy on the day. But therre are still some who are proving either elusive or Stubborn {whole other story there. Any hoo there's a post over on the thread about Band of Brothers error.
