I hope they don't overdo the CG

GUY RITCHIE made his name by making London gangster movies.

And the subjects of the movie director’s upcoming project are also pretty handy in a gunfight — but they did the business in the sky.
Guy is working on a new TV series — called The Few — about a group of elite RAF servicemen who fought in the Second World War.
The subject is close to Guy’s heart as he has strong military roots. His grandfather, Major Stewart Ritchie, died in action on the battlefields of France in 1940.
A source said: “Guy is really excited about the project. He can’t wait to put his stamp on it.
“He’s always been interested in the military, so telling the story of these heroes was something he would love to bring to a new audience.
“It could be as big as Band Of Brothers.”

I have to wonder. While I did enjoy his "Holmes" movie's his movie-making style seems out of sinc with the content. I guess I have to hope he is more than his previous work, or he will just supervise and let competent people get the job done.

In the BBC special with Ewan McGregor and his brother -an actual RAF fighter pilot- one historian remarked, that if the pilots of RAF Fighter Command were 'The Few', the LW's Me109 pilots were 'The Fewer'. ;)

Nothing to do with Guy Ritchie, but I thought it worth noting that the photo is of Group Captain 'Johnny' Kent DFC* and the Poles of 303 Squadron.....
