I stumbled across these forums while doing some research on my Dad's regiment in WWII, The South Alberta Regiment. If any are interested I have a lil tribute on my facebook page to the 4th Canadian Armoured Div / South Alberta Regiment during WWII with some pics from myself, The National Archives etc. Feel free to check it out Pictures taken of the 29th Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment (The South Alberta Regiment) & 4th Canadian Armoured Division taken in World War 2. My Father Trooper Moise J Amyotte was enlisted in the South Alberta Regiment on June 26,1940 and was Honorably Discharged on 1946. Hi ArcticWolf and Welcome, You'll find there are quite a few Canadians who are members here and I'm sure you will find a lot of useful information.
Hello AW. Glad to have another Canadian in the fold. I might suggest your do a search for posts by our own macrusk. She has done a tremendous amount of research on Canada's role in WW2. Her posts are filled with useful information and links to even more. Enjoy your stay and post often.
