Hello from the Orkney Islands

Hello everybody thought I'd sign up and introduce myself, so I'll answer the sample questions

1. Your Name: Whats your name? Kevin
What would you like to be called? Kev
How did you come up with your member-name? I live overlooking Scapa Flow

2. Age: How old are you? 43
How long have you been interested in WWII? Since a young schoolboy

3. Origins: Where are you from? Orkney, (Islands just off the North of Scotland. Most known for Scapa Flow where the German High seas fleet was scuttled just after WW1 and the sinking of the Royal Oak in WW2)

4. Specifics: What areas of WWII are you interested in? I find the German technology very interesting, interested in all aspects
What would you like to know more about? Nothing at the moment as there is so much to read here

5. Hobbies: What sort of Hobbies do you have? Motorcyles, Motocross, DIY, Classic Cars, Machinery, Interested in all things mechanical, watching war documentaries, watching motorsport
Are any related to World War II? mostly watching documentaries
Wargaming? No but sonds interesting, dont think I could devote the time though
Video-games? Not really experienced enough but I'm mightily impressed by them
Memorabilia? Not much
Visiting historic sites? Still lots of old wartime buildings here in Orkney, some still in use (eg Hatston industrial estate which was HMS Sparrowhawk)

6. Other: What other time periods are you interested in? Pre war (motoring) 1950's-1980's (motoring)
Specific eras? Why? I'm a bit of a Petrolhead!

7. Miscellaneous: Anything else you'd like to share with us? Any questions anybody would like to ask feel free

Thats really cool you live where you can see Scapa Flow. I'm very interested in the Royal Navy especially, and would love to visit there someday.
