O0G'day...... Don't let the hair-do fool you.........I saw the icon and just could not resist the cool associations. I have always wanted an afro....(NOT)! Anyhow..... I live in Darwin, in the Northern Territory of Australia (capital "city" of)....why the inverted commas for the word city?....drop by and find out. But this place does have one thing that no other place in Australia has....WW2 sites worth their salt. My name is CHRISTOPHER, and users from other sites may recognize my content or lack of style...hello to all! What sort of posting can I do here?. I love to discuss WW2, and to post articles based on stuff that I have read, embellishing them with comments of my own, and crediting those whose work I use as a basis for my own stuff. IS this the type of site for me?.....I detest the word PLAGIARISM, and will credit all stuff from others in the proper manner, but I do like to add to the work of these people, and occassionally disagree with their assertions... So.......whats the go, Joe?
Hello ChristopherO0 (had to)... Welcome to the forums, hope you like what you see. From what I read above, this IS just the place. We have rules about giving credits and I'm sure we all will. And you said that sometimes you disagree, I'm happy you are, that is the thing how good conversation starts. I think we already had a chat via email the other day, sorry to say but your posts still exist in the other place. You are most welcome here to share your knowledge. Cheers Higge
Thanks Higge....The other place will be taken to task over that. I want to transfer all of my work from that site to this one....
Thanks Mickey....and very glad I am to be here. Finnish military history, is a facinating aspect of WW2, and as we have already pointed out elsewhere on this site, the Winter War can be said to be the most influential part of it....I hope to showcase this, with help from Finnish veterans and others who contribute....ILMASTA UHKAA VAARA!
