Purchased on ebay about ten years ago about fourteen documents and the file folder itself for an "evaluation file" which is actually more of a training credentials file. Includes photos, training certificates, a bio, and more. It would be cool if it could get back to his family.

THE best source for what you want that I can think of is--the uboatarchiv in Altenbruch. This is a privately owned and operated Archive and is owned by WWII German vet/ uboat officer: Horst Bredow. I don't know if he is still alive or not but-go to their website and give them a try. The archive has the best collection of uboat and personnel info in the world. From their archives, is where you see the vast majority of photos printed in magazines and such-that you see used.

I THINK their website is: www.uboatarchiv.com If not? google it and it will come up.
